AMLETO DALLA COSTA was born in Milan in 1929. At the age of sixteen, he was already working for the first cartoon film company in post-war Italy. At twenty, he had his first solo exhibition in Cuneo/Piedmont – during his military service. In the early 1950s, he ran a fashion photography studio together with Giorgio Armani. He then moved on to furniture design, stage design and film sets. From 1958 to 1961, he ran a studio for advertising graphics; from 1961 to 1974, he ran an advertising agency for the design of press and television campaigns.

1975-1999: Own gallery in the centre of Milan, as well as 200 exhibitions in galleries and art fairs around the world. 1986/88/91/99/2006: Galerie Vita Bern/Feldbrunnen-Solothurn.
